A Dream Starts With Burgers

“Let’s make it simple,” Dick said. “Just a few things, but make them the best anyone has ever tasted!”

A New Kind of Restaurant
In 1948, they closed their barbecue restaurant. When they opened again, everything was different. The menu was smaller, but the food was faster. They called their new place "McDonald's."

• French fries cost 10 cents

The Big Company Begins
