The Spark of Courage
The sun rose over Jerusalem’s dusty streets. Peter walked with quick steps. His heart beat fast. He had a big job to do. Jesus had told him and his friends to share good news with everyone.
“Are you sure about this?” Barnabas asked, walking next to Peter. “The Romans won’t like what we’re doing.”
Peter smiled. “Jesus said to be brave. We must tell everyone about His love.”
The streets got busier. People from many places were in Jerusalem. Some wore colorful clothes. Others spoke words Peter didn’t know. But he wasn’t scared anymore.
A Special Day
Something amazing happened that day. Peter stood up to speak. His voice shook at first. But then something wonderful occurred! Everyone could understand him – even people from far away places!
“God’s love is for everyone!” Peter said with a big smile. “Not just for some people, but for all people!”
Many people listened. They wanted to know more. That day, lots of people decided to follow Jesus. It was the start of something big!
Paul’s Big Adventure
Then there was Paul. He used to not like Jesus’s followers. But one day, everything changed! Jesus appeared to him on a road. After that, Paul became one of Jesus’s biggest helpers.
Paul went on many trips. He rode boats across big seas. He walked through hot deserts. He climbed tall mountains. Nothing could stop him from sharing Jesus’s love! ♂️

Patrick’s Story
“I never thought I’d come back here,” said Patrick, looking at Ireland’s green hills. He had been taken there as a slave when he was young. But now he was back for a different reason.
Patrick walked from village to village. He made friends with the Irish people. He learned their language. He told them stories about Jesus in ways they could understand.
“God’s love is like the sun,” Patrick would say. “It shines on everyone, no matter who they are!”
Columba’s Journey
Up in Scotland, another brave person named Columba built a special place on an island called Iona. People came from everywhere to learn about Jesus. ️
Columba and his friends wrote beautiful books. They painted pretty pictures in them. These books helped people learn about Jesus’s love.

Special groups called monks lived together in buildings called monasteries. They did many good things:

• They shared Jesus's love with everyone
“We must show God’s love by helping others,” the monks would say. And they did!
New Ways to Share
These missionaries were clever. They learned new languages. They wrote songs. They told stories. They found ways to explain Jesus’s love that made sense to different people.

Francis Xavier’s Big Adventure
“Look how vast the ocean is!” Francis Xavier said as he stood on the ship’s deck. He was sailing to places called India and Japan.
In Japan, Francis met people who had never heard about Jesus before. “Your ways are different from ours,” they told him.
“That’s okay,” Francis smiled. “We can learn from each other!”
The Brave Jesuits
A special group called the Jesuits went to many new places. They were like explorers and teachers at the same time!
In China, a Jesuit named Matteo Ricci wore Chinese clothes and learned Chinese ways. He made many friends by showing respect for their culture.

Some people laughed at William’s dream. “It’s too hard,” they said.
“With God’s help, we can do big things!” William smiled. He never gave up.
The India Adventure
William finally went to India! He did many good things there:

• Made a big garden to study plants

Hudson Taylor’s Special Way
In China, Hudson Taylor did something different. He wore Chinese clothes and ate Chinese food!
“To show love,” Hudson said, “we must understand how others live.”
